Mehboob Hussain – A Journey of Hard Work and Determination
My name is Mehboob Hussain, and I belong to the Mallah community. I was born in 1982 into a noble, kind-hearted, and hardworking family, the son of Raheem Bux. My early education began at the Government Boys Lower Primary School in Shahpur Chakar. After completing grade six, I continued my studies and passed matriculation from the Government Boys Higher Secondary School Shahpur Chakar.
Soon after completing matric, I started working as a dispensary assistant at a local doctor’s clinic, a job I continued until 1999. In December 1999, I moved to Karachi, where I resumed the same profession while simultaneously completing my Intermediate in Arts. Despite appearing in several dispensary-related exams, I was unable to succeed, which led me to eventually leave the medical field.
Around that time, a Sindhi television channel called KTN was launched, and I started a new career there as an Assistant Director. Later, on the advice of my mentor Qaiser Khan Nizamani, I transitioned into the field of video editing, where I worked on various projects and gained valuable experience.
Then came the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought the world to a standstill and deeply affected my livelihood as well. I was left jobless, but with the support of my friend Hasrat Majothi, I began editing American wedding events, which opened a new door for my income and professional growth.
In 2021, I launched a YouTube channel under the name "Mehboob Production", where I started uploading videos from time to time. Although the channel has not yet gained major popularity, I remain consistent and hopeful that one day I will achieve success.
Tired of rural hardships, I returned to Karachi and was fortunate to find an opportunity to work with Eveready Pictures, one of the biggest names in the Pakistani film industry — a major step towards fulfilling my dreams.
